Christ defines the rules and everyone (grudingly?) conforms
- is the difference between terre and cele essentially the motivation of obedience? I will keep the rules, but I would rather not, left to myself. But probably not, as that is torturous rather than a reward. Scripture seems to wrap it around being valiant in Christ, but I don't see how lower celes can be valiant and not get exaltation. Just not interested in eternal progress (childbearing)?

Perhaps it can be compared to a military engagement:

Teles enjoy the fruits of a place protected by the military. They resist the call to arms in favor of their personal desires. Let someone else do the fighting and sacrificing.
Terres will be drafted because they feel they must and provide support for the effort as required. No particular bravery or grand efforts, but they will "do the job". Following orders but not to heroism. letting rank advancement come if it does.
Celes are "true believers" and will sacrifice themselves to the cause. Career soldiers. They will lead out in campaigns and take hard assignments. The highest will take leadership roles and adopt the protection of the land and people as their own mission in life.
