gas costs $3 a gallon - I get about 30 mpg with Bob. that means a mile costs about 10c. I run about 750 miles a week or $75 a week. So, the cost of the used transmission is equivalent to 48 weeks of driving ($3600) and 36000 miles. Will I make that back? probably. Is this even right or useful? the cost doesn't stop after the repair, so I can double this for the payoff - 72000 miles. Can I reasonably expect to get anything past that on this vehicle? hmmm.
