Fealty

I turn back to the MIddle Ages to create a bit of clarity on this.
A 7th-century Anglo Saxon "Oath of Fealty" states:

By the Lord before whom this sanctuary is holy, I will to N. be true and faithful, and love all which he loves and shun all which he shuns, according to the laws of God and the order of the world. Nor will I ever with will or action, through word or deed, do anything which is unpleasing to him, on condition that he will hold to me as I shall deserve it, and that he will perform everything as it was in our agreement when I submitted myself to him and chose his will.

This was in essence the placing of oneself under a lord.

I perceive that we are only sent here to earth after we have done this in relation to Jesus Christ. We put ourselves in bondage to him, but under extremely favorable terms for our part. This earth and our very mortal bodies are his and our conduct in relation to both are judged by him that ("gifted" is the wrong word) gave us stewardship over them.

Love

…and love all which he loves…

Love is the activity of our fealty to the Lord, as we promised when we accepted the offer to come to earth and mortality with a covenant to participate in the Father's plan as stipulated.

What is the essence of Love? I think it is devotion under pressure.

Trust

In my mind, this is the ultimate indication of love, is that you trust the other person in the relationship.

When applying this to God, you know that God has your best interest at heart in any action relative to you.
